Bronze Betty
Bronze Betty was designed to be two businesses and it turned out to be three.
The first business is an online ecommerce store with a brand of Bronze Betty. The online store operates from bronzebetty.co and has a few hundred products available. Some of the products are fully custom, available only to our store and some of them are the designs of the foundries we work with.
The second business is the manufacture of brass and bronze products for the Bronze Betty brand. This part of the business has taken a lot of work to develop. A lot of time riding throughout Java meeting with people who run foundries, finding people who want to create a global business. We have develop technology and training processes to support both small batch,. highly customised products and large production runs while maintaining quality and price.

The third business is the manufacture of products and logistics in Indonesia. Those products could be made from bronze and brass from our existing foundries or the manufacturing, logistics and export from Indonesia. This has been an interesting and highly valuable addition to the business. Indonesia has some incredible competitive advantages on the world stage. Being able to leverage those competitive advantages and also leverage the infrastructure we have developed in Indonesia is an exciting possibility of growth for us.
Manufacturing brass and bronze is a very niche business. Molten metal is incredibly dangerous so you cannot just start doing it in your back yard or just rent out a shop, hire some people and start making bronze and brass products. Our two main foundries are in central Java in Indonesia. We use foundries in Java because they have been making bronze and brass there for thousands of years. We also use experts in Europe and America to support the development of our products. We then bring the products to Australia and complete them.
Each of the businesses supports each other to grow and expand. The Bronze Betty brand and business provides to vehicle through which they can design and create products for the brand. The design and creation of the products for Bronze Betty allows the business to use their foundries and logistics experience to manufacture bronze and brass products for other companies: to be a contract manufacturer. The logistics, manufacturing, import and export experience as allows the business to manufacture products in Indonesia for other businesses. For example roof tiles, packaging, tents, anything where we have a competitive advantage.
Bronze Betty was founded in 2020 and has quickly become one of the largest bronze and brass brands in the world. Bronze Betty manufactures and exports bronze and brass products to Europe, America and Asia. It also makes custom bronze and brass products for other organisations and works with other organisations to manufacture and export from Indonesia.
